Alpha Precasts manufacture a diverse range of precast and prestressed concrete products and components for rural, urban and industrial projects.
Our Alpha Tanks division is a leading manufacturer of precast concrete tanks in the top of the South Island. Based in Motueka, near the centre of New Zealand, we are well positioned to supply our specialty products across our region and around the country.
Designed for strength and durability, our products range from Structural Precast, concrete water storage tanks and septic tanks, utility sheds, drainage and infrastructure products to tilt panels, beams, stairs, bridges and box culverts. Custom precast and one off items are no problem for our skilled production team.
Our reliability and attention to detail along with sheer hard work has earned us a satisfied and loyal customer base. We build relationships with these people who continue to compliment us by returning time after time for their needs, help and advice for their projects.

We have the experience – Alpha Precasts was founded in the late 1980’s – now a progressive NZ Family owned company with a team of professional and qualified personnel. Over the years much experience has been accumulated in the wide variety of technical challenges that the precast concrete industry thrives on. We have a proven history of quality workmanship – We consistently deliver - On time, on budget with no extra hassles. Our loyal customer base is a testimony to our results.
We have a diverse range – We design and manufacture a wide range of tanks and drainage products and also components for the building and construction Industry. Our strong point is the ability and willingness to modify or custom build to suit a specific need.
We use quality materials - And we work closely with designers, engineers and inspectors to insure that ALPHA products and precast components will be durable and reliable.
We have the “can do” attitude - Our Company was built on providing innovative solutions to difficult problems and this “can do” ethos is still an integral part of our culture.
We love challenges – We enjoy the challenge of designing and manufacturing cost-effective products and precast elements to meet unique or specific needs. Delivery and installation of product to challenging sites is another area of expertise.
We care about the environment –We say that Concrete is “the responsible choice” and we are constantly exploring new methods, evaluating more environmentally friendly products and systems and reducing or recycling waste where practical to keep our footprint on this amazing planet under control.
We have the machinery - As well as having a huge range of precast concrete moulds and equipment, we also have the delivery trucks, crane trucks, mobile cranes and overdimension pilots to ensure that your product is able to be delivered to site in the most efficient manner. We understand that it saves a multitude of frustrations if you- the customer, doesn’t have to coordinate many different parties to get your product from the “need” stage to the “have” stage. We also carry a range of tempory props to serve during the erection of precast building elements.
We have an experienced team – Friendly sales and administration staff, experienced technical personnel leading a skilled production team, necessary qualifications and efficient transport and crane operators. The safety of our team and those around us is of prime importance.

ALPHA Tanks manufacture a large range of concrete water tanks suitable for many applications. These can be manufactured in either our peaked roof or flat top design suitable for above ground, partially buried or completely buried.
ALPHA Tanks also produce a large range of heavy duty tanks that can take more substantial loadings such as increased soil cover or heavy vehicle traffic up to HNHO72 loadings.
Water Tanks are quoted individually for each project
